Ijspiron, advice is given to uninstall and reinstall the audio card – sometimes recommending physical removal and reinsertion of the card or even its replacement – or reinstallation of the sound card drivers or installation of entirely new drivers for the card. I have currently purchased a Dell Inspiron m and at the start the speakers intergrated on the laptop worked perfectly.
After much searching online, I found an article about Windows Soundd stating that the biggest conflict with the audio drivers is often the Modem drivers. I did this and rebooted and no fix.
